Make trusty you check the terminal 3 transactions of the video, because that’s where I speech most the faults of the unit. … garmin etrex fable stake vista gps review

Yeah, I was just a bit ticked off at how one-sided a lot of reviews for this unit were.
lol!
Nice review, although IMHO you might be setting yourself a little by saying you’re going to rock it
I can totally hear the Bubbles, though.. that’s hilarious! You should do another video where you use the Garmin to find a Samsquantch.
I didn’t mention the memory because I found it fine for me. The whole province of New Brunswick and the whole state of Maine only uses 2 MB out of the 8. But I forgot, more populous places use more memory.
I never knew the plug was easy to break. Then again, i’ve only used it twice.
No, i’ve never experienced the “black line of death”. The only thing i’ve had close to that was when one time the screen went blank and the came back flickering, which fixed itself in a few seconds.
I think you forgot to mention a few other bad points about these units such as the weenie memory and especially the easily breakable plug that costs an eye out of your face to replace if you accidentally slip and bend it breaking off those little tabs that hold it in. Have you experienced the black line of death simptom at random as well?
Ya sorry about that.
You mean the Venture HC?
Actually after having watched the legend video im going to go for that because of a color screen and better mapping capabilities.
Thanks! I just hope you have better luck with this unit’s problems than most users have had.
Nice review i like that and im going to buy this unit soon.
You’re welcome!
congratulations…i understood everything you say…your english was freakin clear… I receive your message….thanks from republic argentina
LMAO!! That’s the funniest thing anyone has said about me on here, yet! I’ve also been told I sound like Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys. I don’t know how, but I get a kick out of it!
The only GPS units you will find with built-in street maps are the ones that are made for cars. If you want street maps on an eTrex (or similar) unit, you have to buy a CD that contains the software to load street maps onto the GPS from the computer.
Garmin’s MetroGuide maps can be bought on DVD, and are generally $100-$150.
ijust got a triton 300 but i need streets not just highways so idk i guess ill take it back unless i can find free maps hahaha
Well, the screen problem is caused by a loose ribbon connector inside, and to do that, you have to tear off the rubber on the outside, then break the plastic case to get it open.
thats good and all the bad things i can fix to like the screen and stuff i live in houston so i dont think the map will suck for me seeing its one of the big citys ROFLOL and your right about the price and it is my first gps hahaha only using for caching though
ok i know this is going to sound mean and im sorry but everytime i i watch your video i think this soo you remind me of forest gump O.o
and thats in a nice way lol
Yeah that’s true. With the eTrex H, you are able to see the geocache on the screen, but that’s about it.
Just to let you know, the map included with the eTrex Legend is pretty limited. It shows water, borders, and major highways. In the biggest cities, however, it will show streets. The reason you could see streets on mine is because I have the MetroGuide maps installed on this unit.
At least if yours breaks while still under the warranty, Garmin will fix it for free. Otherwise, it’s $99.
ja but i like the maps LOL
i love seeing what im looking for like a map haha and for 20 more im ok with any bedness it has i think O.o
The “yellow one”, which is the Garmin eTrex H, is basically an eTrex Legend with no map, no problems (that I know of) and a high-sensitivity antenna. They can be used for geocaching, as well.
well me and my mum are starting geocatching and this is all i can aford its this or the yellow one LOL and i think this is good for me and i know yall are going to say save your cash and stuff but for the last 26 hours me and her have been using pin and paper maps ROFLOL
OK, just don’t forget about the faults of the unit I mentioned in the video. I wish you better luck with this unit than I (and a lot of other people) have had.
im going to go buy one tonight for $100 at wallyworld ^_^ i cant wait
